Island — Scooby-doo Return To Zombie

Shaggy, Scooby, Velma, Daphne, and Fred decide to revisit the infamous Zombie Island for a vacation — hoping for a relaxing trip full of memories. But soon, they discover that the island is once again plagued by cat creatures and zombie sightings. Unlike the 1998 original, this film retcons the supernatural elements, explaining everything through a more traditional "man in a mask" mystery — much to longtime fans' disappointment.

The setup is clever. The gang wins a vacation to a "revamped" resort on the same island. Velma is skeptical—she has spent her adult life debunking the "real" zombies of their past, convinced there is a rational explanation. This meta-commentary (Velma as the fan who refuses to accept the supernatural) is a smart narrative engine. The first 20 minutes effectively play with nostalgia, referencing Moonscar Manor, the pepper plantation, and even the cat statues. scooby-doo return to zombie island
