In the pantheon of cult television, few shows have burned as brightly, burned out as quickly, or been resurrected as triumphantly as Veronica Mars . Premiering on UPN in 2004, Rob Thomas’s teen noir was an anomaly. It arrived during the era of The O.C. and One Tree Hill , yet it traded sun-drenched melodrama for shadowy cynicism. It took the structure of a hard-boiled detective novel and filtered it through the halls of a California high school.

Veronica gets beaten up, drugged, and ostracized; she loses more battles than she wins, yet she keeps fighting.

The show’s cancellation after three seasons in 2007 did not mark its end; rather, it birthed one of the most dedicated fanbases in history, known as "Marshmallows".

Whether you are a long-time "Marshmallow" rewatching the pilot for the hundredth time, or a new viewer curious about the girl who worked the case, the invitation is still open. Neptune may be a town where nobody is innocent, but it is a town worth visiting.
