Battlefield Bad Company 2 Pc 'link' Jun 2026
Before Bad Company 2 , most "destructible environments" were scripted. A specific wall might blow up; a specific door might break. DICE’s Frostbite 1.5 engine changed the rules entirely. On PC, with settings maxed out, the destruction was systemic. If you saw a house, you could level it. If an enemy sniper was hiding in a second-story bedroom, you didn't need to enter the stairs—you could fire a Carl Gustav rocket at the external wall and collapse the entire structure on top of him.
This mechanic solved a problem that plagues shooters to this day: camping. In Bad Company 2 , there was no such thing as permanent safety. It forced players to keep moving, to adapt, and to fear the raw power of heavy armor. battlefield bad company 2 pc
