Often cited as one of the most beautiful pieces of modern film music, this track is a high-fidelity stress test. It features rapid-fire violin arpeggios and soaring Scottish bagpipes. On a standard stream, these high frequencies can sound harsh or sibilant. The FLAC version smooths these frequencies out, allowing the warmth of the bagpipes to blend naturally with the strings without causing ear fatigue.
Note: As of 2025, the standard CD (16-bit/44.1kHz) FLAC is the most common reference copy. The 24-bit "Studio Master" is superior but requires high-end headphones.
An expanded 42-track collection featuring rare demos and alternate film versions. Live-Action Score
This is the test track for any sound system. Powell scores the taming of Toothless using prepared piano (pushing paper into the strings) and breathing flutes.
