Soum Bill (born Soumahoro Mamadou) has been a cornerstone of Ivorian music since the early 1990s, first gaining fame with the groups Les Garagistes and Les Salopards . After launching his solo career in 2000 with Zambakro , he became known for his socially conscious lyrics that often challenged political authority in Côte d'Ivoire.
