The story follows Captain Ashwat Raina (played by John Abraham), a patriotic officer in the Indian Army who is disgraced after a failed assignment. He is brought back into the fold by the principal secretary to the Prime Minister, Himanshu Shukla (Boman Irani), to lead a covert team. Their mission: to prepare the test site in Pokhran and execute the nuclear tests without alerting the CIA or American spy satellites.
