The story begins with our protagonist, Mari. Unlike most heroines in the “Maid X Demon” subgenre, Mari is neither a seasoned exorcist nor a reincarnated sorceress. She is, quite simply, an unemployed young woman with a mountain of student debt and a freshly expired lease.
Mari’s task? Her first job .
