Before you hit the download button, it is crucial to understand what you are getting into. Mari Chan originated from a 2019 illustration by a Japanese artist known as Ningen Shikkaku (later associated with Ningen Doumei ). The original drawing depicted a cute, smiling schoolgirl standing under a cherry blossom tree. However, the twist was in the text: "Watashi no na wa Mari Chan. Anata no machi ni itashimasu." ("My name is Mari Chan. I am coming to your town.").

Ironically, because Mari Chan is a "doujinshi" (self-published work), it often appears on giant aggregation sites like Nhentai. Be warned: These sites are generally used for adult content, but the Mari Chan horror comic is usually found in the "Non-H" or "Horror" tags.
