Greece has a proud history of anime and cartoon dubbing. The 2011 ThunderCats aired on (and later on Nickelodeon Greece ) with a highly praised Greek voice cast. Lion-O was voiced by veteran actor Dimitris Papaioannou (known for Dragon Ball Z’s Vegeta), giving the character a gravitas missing from the English original.
