In the book, Q & A is structured differently. After Ram wins the game show, he is arrested and tortured. He is rescued by a lawyer (a character largely absent from the film) to whom he recounts his life story. The book is divided into distinct chapters, each explaining how a specific life event gave him the knowledge to answer a specific quiz question.
