The film introduces Pamela Landy (now helping Bourne) and the ruthless head of Blackbriar, Noah Vosen . It ends with Bourne finally uncovering his full identity and seemingly disappearing. Legacy is an ambitious failure. While Tony Gilroy (the screenwriter of the first three films) directs with intelligence, the film lacks the emotional core of Bourne’s search for identity. Cross’s problem (running out of pills that make him smart) feels clinical compared to Bourne’s psychological torment.
