If you want to experience Black Ops II with the stability of Update 1 & 2 but without the legal grey area, buy the game on Steam (it’s often $19.99 or less during sales). Then, use the official patch system. For offline LAN, use Steam’s "Offline Mode" or explore the open-source Plutonium launcher (which requires a legitimate copy of the game for verification).
