ANSI/TIA-942 is a voluntary industry standard developed by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), a body accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). First published in 2005 and subsequently revised (most notably in the 2012 and 2017 additions), the standard was created to address a gap in the industry.
