The Tomb Raider modding community is vibrant. Players often mod the game to remove lens flares, improve lighting, or change character outfits. Many of these mods require you to overwrite the original bigfile.000 with a modified version. If a mod causes the game to crash, you will need to restore the original, vanilla bigfile.000 file to get the game working again.
