Some firmware versions restrict repeating to 2.4GHz only, or your main router’s 5GHz channel is too high. Fix:
The DIR-868L is a dual-band router. In Repeater Mode, it will not work as a router (no DHCP, no firewall). It simply grabs an existing Wi-Fi signal and rebroadcasts it. You need the original Wi-Fi name and password of your main router. dir-868l repeater mode
