Do not start here if you haven’t read Act 4 and Act 5 of the comic. The tracks are inextricably linked to story spoilers. "Savior of the Waking World" will feel like generic anime rock if you haven’t watched John break his father’s trust to save his life.

A mysterious, jazzy track associated with Gamzee Makara. It’s slow, honking, and vaguely menacing. Before we knew Gamzee was a murder-clown, this track hinted at the chaos beneath the sobriety. Vol. 6 is often cited by fans as the best Homestuck album for emotional weight and atmosphere. It doesn’t have the raw meme power of Vol. 5 (“Crystalanthemums,” “Savior of the Waking World”) but instead builds a cohesive, tragic world through instrumental storytelling. Many of its tracks were later remixed or reprised in Vol. 9 , Vol. 10 , and Cherubim .
