3 !full!: Fukrey
Standing in their way once again is the indomitable Bholi Punjaban, played with fierce charisma by Richa Chadha. This time, however, the stakes are political. Bholi is eyeing a seat in the local elections, and the Fukreys find themselves inadvertently positioned as her primary opposition. The shift from petty crimes to local politics allows the film to touch upon social issues like water scarcity and corruption, albeit through a highly stylized and comedic lens.
The 2013 original introduced us to four distinct personalities: Hunny (Pulkit Samrat), Choocha (Varun Sharma), Lali (Manjot Singh), and Zafar (Ali Fazal). They were not heroes in the traditional sense. They were broke, desperate, and endlessly inventive. Their quest to get into college and the subsequent entanglement with the terrifying local gangster Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadha) struck a chord because it felt authentic. It was a story of the underdog, laced with the peculiar humor of Delhi’s bylanes. Fukrey 3
