In the safety of Monte Macabre, Victor’s impulsiveness usually leads to property damage or mild supernatural trouble. In the Underworld, however, his refusal to follow rules or listen to reason nearly dooms them both. The episode forces the brothers to rely on each other in a way they haven't had to before. Valentino is stripped of his ability to "think his way out" because the Underworld operates on illogical, ancient rules. Conversely, Victor’s quick thinking—which often manifests as improvisational lying—becomes a necessary tool for survival, validating his chaotic nature even if it caused the problem in the first place.
