Unlike Santorini or Mykonos, Naxos is vast. It is the largest island in the Cyclades, and its terrain varies wildly. Many rental car GPS units have outdated maps that don't recognize the new mountain roads or the pedestrian zones in Naxos Town (Chora).

Before you leave your hotel Wi-Fi, open Google Maps and type "Naxos, Greece." Tap the three dots next to the location name and select "Download Offline Map." Download the entire island. This 200MB file will save your life when the signal drops.
