Shameless Us - Season 10

The general consensus is that the show has lost some of its social realism. Early Shameless dealt with poverty in a stark, gut-wrenching way. By Season 10, the family lives in a gentrifying neighborhood, has iPhones, and the stakes feel lower. However, what it loses in drama, it gains in farce. If you treat Season 10 as a dark comedy rather than a drama, it works brilliantly.
