The Warriors
Long before the NBA dynasty, the name belonged to a gritty, stylized action film directed by . Based on the 1965 novel by Sol Yurick (and loosely inspired by the ancient Greek tale Anabasis ), the movie became a counter-culture phenomenon. The Plot: "Can You Dig It?"
Joe Walsh’s lyrical contributions (he also plays the guitarist at the DJ’s radio station) give the film its soul: "In the city / All the music never seems to fade." The Warriors
