Instead of the panoramic immersion we hoped for, we got grey pillars. Thick, insulting, static black (or grey) bars on the sides of the screen. Officially, Square Enix did not support 21:9 or 32:9 aspect ratios. The game rendered at a locked 16:9 and simply drew obscuring bars over the unused space.
