Stronghold 2D, also known as Stronghold 2D: Tower Defense, was a spin-off title that deviated from the traditional 3D RTS formula. Developed by a small team within FireFly Studios, the game was designed to provide a more streamlined, accessible experience for players who enjoyed the core mechanics of Stronghold but wanted a more casual, pick-up-and-play experience.
