Critics and audiences often have a love-hate relationship with Michael Bay’s style. Known for the Transformers franchise, Bay is synonymous with explosions and visual excess. However, 13 Hours represents a maturation of his style. While the film still features his trademark sweeping camera movements and visceral action, the "Bayhem" is restrained and focused.
