This is the component moved by the throttle lever. It sends a variable voltage signal to the controller telling it how fast to go.
The diagram will show six batteries labeled 1 through 6. The positive terminal of battery 1 connects to the negative of battery 2, and so on. The final free positive (battery 6+) and final free negative (battery 1-) form the 36V supply.
