Unlike Animaniacs , which had the adorable Yakko, Wakko, and Dot as its anchor, Histeria! had no relatable hero. Loud Kiddington was exhausting. The majority of the cast were grotesque, unmarketable weirdos. Kids loved the chaos, but parents hated the "ugly" character designs (courtesy of the anarchic John McCann).
