When the Warrens leave town for a case, they leave their ten-year-old daughter, Judy, in the care of babysitter Mary Ellen. Mary Ellen's friend, Daniela, arrives uninvited and, driven by a desire to contact her deceased father, sneaks into the artifacts room and unknowingly releases the spirit of Annabelle. This unholy night of terror ensues as Annabelle awakens other evil spirits in the room—such as the Ferryman, the Bride, and the Black Shuck—who all target Judy and her friends.
