Download the official tr.apk from towelroot.com. Step 2: Install it. Do not open it yet. Step 3: Go to Settings > Device Information > Tap "Build Number" 7 times to unlock Developer Options. Go into Developer Options and ensure "Don't keep activities" is turned OFF. Step 4: Open Towelroot. Tap "Make it ra1n" (the button looks like a lambda symbol). Step 5: Your phone will freeze for 10 seconds, then reboot. After reboot, install SuperSU from the Play Store.
