The film tells the story of Bujji (Prabhas) and Chitti (Trisha), childhood friends separated by a misunderstanding. Bujji runs away to Chennai and grows up with a unique quirk—he addresses everyone as "Kaunsal" (Council) and speaks in a distinct Chennai Telugu dialect.
