If the Prototype 2 folder doesn’t exist, create it manually:
Corrupted base files can break save routines.
Windows’ Ransomware protection can block games from saving.
Some overlays interfere with file I/O.
After verification, launch the game, start a new game briefly (just past tutorial), save manually, then check if the save persists after reboot.
Failed to save data message preventing play Recently I've installed the game on my new compy, but every time I try to play it, it requires creating a new slot to save progress, however, clicking on ok to confirm this guarantees a "failed to save data" message, and consequently I haven't been able to play the game at all.
