The anticipation for Fanaa was built on a singular, electrifying premise: the coming together of two of India’s most celebrated actors. While Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol had long been established as the golden couple of Bollywood, the pairing of Aamir Khan and Kajol remained an unexplored frontier.

The story begins in Delhi, where Zooni Ali Beg (Kajol), a blind girl from Kashmir, falls in love with Rehan Qadri (Aamir Khan), a charming and witty tour guide known for his flirtatious nature and poetic shayari . Despite warnings from her friends, Zooni embraces Rehan’s love, eventually undergoing surgery to regain her sight. However, the narrative takes a sharp turn when Rehan is apparently killed in a bomb blast, only for the audience to later discover he is a deep-cover operative for a terrorist organization.
