In the original Contra for the NES, the famous (Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start) granted players 30 lives. However, its sequel, Super Contra , changed the rules. In the standard North American version of Super C , the hidden code— Right, Left, Down, Up, A, B, Start —only provides 10 lives .
