Bond discovers that all the adversaries from Casino Royale (Le Chiffre), Quantum of Solace (Mr. White/Dominic Greene), and Skyfall (Silva) were working for the same shadowy organization: SPECTRE. At its head is Franz Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz), a reclusive genius hiding in a massive crater-lair.

A beautiful failure. A film that sacrifices character logic for franchise mythology and action clarity for aesthetic postcards. Bond discovers that all the adversaries from Casino
Thomas Newman’s score is serviceable, but forgettable. The iconic Bond theme doesn’t arrive with the usual fanfare. Meanwhile, Sam Smith’s Writing’s on the Wall won an Oscar, but remains one of the most maligned Bond songs. It’s a dreary, falsetto ballad that sounds like it’s apologizing for existing.
