Released in 1995, Full Throttle tells the story of Joe (Andy Lau), a street racer who lives for the thrill of illegal motorcycle racing. After a tragic accident involving his mentor and best friend, Joe spirals into guilt and self-destruction. The film masterfully balances high-octane racing sequences (performed by real professional riders) with tender moments between Joe and his long-suffering girlfriend, played by Gigi Leung.
