Nezha 2 is the sequel to the 2019 animated blockbuster Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child , which grossed over ¥5 billion (approx. $700 million USD) in China, becoming the highest-grossing animated film in Chinese history at the time. Directed once again by Yang Yu (known as "Jiaozi"), the sequel continues the story of the titular rebellious deity, Nezha, and his friend/rival Ao Bing. The film promises to expand the "Fengshen Universe" (Investiture of the Gods), featuring significantly enhanced animation quality, darker themes of consequence and identity, and a deeper exploration of Chinese mythology. Originally slated for a 2024 release, the film is now confirmed for release during the (January 29, 2025). Film Nezha 2
