DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) is a vector file format developed by Autodesk. Unlike raster images, vector files are based on mathematical equations. A line is defined by coordinates ($x, y$), and a curve is defined by mathematical arcs (splines or polylines).

Low resolution. Re-save your original image at 4x the size, apply a slight "Gaussian Blur" to smooth pixel edges, then re-convert.
