Vatanim Sensin 44 Jun 2026
Between September 27 and November 10, 2020, Azerbaijan and Armenia fought a brutal conflict over the Nagorno-Karabakh region. The war lasted 44 days, ending in an Azerbaijani victory and the restoration of territorial integrity. For the Turkic world — especially Turkey and Azerbaijan — those 44 days were a modern epic. The phrase "Vatanım Sensin" was chanted in Baku, Ganja, and Istanbul. "44" became shorthand for resilience, brotherhood, and the joy of retaking sacred land.
When Azerbaijan liberated Shusha after 44 days of combat, President Ilham Aliyev declared, "Bu qələbə bütün türk dünyasının qələbəsidir" (This victory is the victory of the entire Turkic world). In Turkey, flags were hung from balconies. The number 44 was painted on walls next to crescents and stars. Social media exploded with the phrase: "Vatanım Sensin, 44" — you are my homeland, these 44 days proved it. vatanim sensin 44
