Internal stacking ports (like Cisco StackWise, VSL, or backplane ports on a chassis) are not standard Ethernet user ports. They use proprietary high-speed serial links. Issuing duplex commands on these interfaces will fail because they do not implement Ethernet auto-negotiation.
