It’s not perfect (menus remain 4:3), but for actual racing gameplay, it transforms Carbon from a dated relic into a fully playable modern-ish racer.
When you select "1680x1050" or "1920x1080" in the in-game settings, the game renders the 3D world correctly, but it renders the 2D elements (HUD, menus, the rearview mirror, the speedometer) at a 4:3 ratio.
