Between 2016 and 2018, a wave of Indian-American and British-Asian filmmakers created parody shorts titled "Wet Hot Indian Wedding" as a take on the American Summer aesthetic. These were often 10-minute sketches hosted on Vimeo or YouTube channels that have since been deleted or made private.
