The digital transformation of travel planning has blurred traditional boundaries between transportation booking, accommodation search, and lifestyle/entertainment discovery. This paper examines “TripFor” as a representative case (or conceptual model) of an all-category platform that integrates flights, hotels, local experiences, dining, and events into a single search interface. We explore how users’ search behavior across multiple lifestyle categories influences trip satisfaction, spontaneous consumption, and post-trip engagement. Using a mixed-methods approach (survey n=450 + user session analysis), the study finds that all-category search platforms increase trip-related entertainment spending by 34% compared to siloed booking tools. However, decision fatigue and filter overload remain significant challenges.
