The story is set in the "not too distant future" and centers on Captain Duke Hauser (Channing Tatum) and his partner Ripcord (Marlon Wayans). After their military convoy is attacked by a mysterious group of thieves, they are rescued and recruited by an elite international special forces unit known as G.I. Joe.
