Para los no iniciados, las Chipettes son un grupo ficticio de ardillas cantantes femeninas, creadas como contraparte femenina de Alvin y las Ardillas. El grupo está compuesto por tres hermanas:
The Chipettes were created in 1983 by (son of the original Chipmunks creator) and Janice Karman for the animated series Alvin and the Chipmunks . Karman, who also voices all three Chipettes, wanted to introduce female characters to expand storylines and appeal to a broader audience. Their first appearance was in the episode "The Chipettes" (1983), where they were introduced as orphans initially managed by a greedy con artist before being adopted by their human guardian, Miss Beatrice Miller.
