Drivers are built differently for 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. Windows 10 64-bit is the standard OS for the Inspiron 3501 (as it supports more than 4GB of RAM). Installing a 32-bit driver on a 64-bit OS will fail immediately. Always ensure the driver package explicitly states "Windows 10 64-bit."
