No unit is perfect. After two weeks, I noticed a faint ticking noise (around -90dBu) when using a dying 9V battery (below 7V). This is common in active DIs, but the spec sheet claimed it would shut down cleanly below 6V—it didn’t. Workaround: change batteries often or use phantom power.
