The story follows Chandu (Nagarjuna), a smooth-talking, successful businessman in the US who has little time for traditional family values. After a fallout, he returns to India to win back his estranged wife Sandhya (Nayanthara) and reconnect with his young daughter. The twist? Sandhya has moved on to a simpler, traditional life, and Chandu must shed his "modern" arrogance and prove he is more than just a "greeku veerudu" (a clever, manipulative man). Produced by D
If there was a checklist for a "safe" Telugu family drama from the early 2010s, Greeku Veerudu would tick every box. Directed by Dasaradh (of Santosham fame), the film tries to recreate the magic of a settled-NRI-turned-romantic-lead, a formula that Nagarjuna himself had mastered years earlier. While it has its heart in the right place, the execution feels overly familiar and lacks the punch needed to make it memorable. : The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC)
