The Seven Sermons to the Dead is a 56-page gnostic text written in 1916. Jung claimed that on three consecutive evenings, his house in Küsnacht, Switzerland, became filled with the restless spirits of the dead. They cried out to him, demanding answers about life, God, and the sun. He responded with sermons, which he transcribed into a black leather-bound book.
