Surprisingly, DeviantArt is one of the best places to find controller images compatible with Xpadder. Search for terms like "Xbox 360 Vector" or "PS4 Controller Template."

Click the controller icon in the top-left to open the "Controller Settings" window.

Below the image, a small text block shows Xpadder's "Axis" calibration window: Two overlapping circles. One for Stick Deadzone (center dead spot) and one for Anti-Deadzone (edge maxing).

Visual note: Xpadder requires the background image to have a specific magenta (RGB 255,0,255) or green screen transparency key. If your downloaded image has a white background, you must use an image editor to make the background #FF00FF (magenta).

When users search for they are usually looking for one of three specific file types. Understanding the difference is key to getting the most out of the software.

Xpadder users tend to be hobbyists who value the preservation of gaming hardware. Having a library of images for every controller—from the standard Xbox 360 pad to niche retro controllers like the GameCube or Dreamcast adapters—is part of the hobbyist experience.
