Appreciate what Xarab.shx did for CAD in the 90s, but let it rest. Modern AutoCAD handles Arabic natively, seamlessly, and beautifully without the need for obscure shape files.

When you open a legacy DWG file (created before 2010) that used this font, AutoCAD throws the error: "One or more SHX files are missing. Xarab.shx cannot be found." The software then substitutes simplex.shx (or a default font), which cannot read Arabic character mapping. Consequently, all your Arabic annotations turn into gibberish or ? marks.
